Robb, Teegarden set for ‘Speeds’
Duo to play the female leads opposite Douglas Booth

AnnaSophia Robb (“Soul Surfer”) and Aimee Teegarden (“Friday Night Lights”) are attached to play the female leads opposite Douglas Booth in the inspirational sports drama “Life At These Speeds.”
Leif Tilden will direct from a script by Marc Novak, based on the novel by Jeremy Jackson.

Booth stars as a rural teen who’s forced to transfer schools after a tragic accident claims the lives of his friends. Teegarden will play his hometown soul mate, while Robb will play an over-achiever who struggles to break through his grief and defenses.

Billy Crudup is set to co-star as Booth’s coach and confidante.

‘Speeds’ is the first film exec produced by Sam Rockwell, and Cinema Revival’s Scott William Alvarez is producing with Peter Holden and F.X. Vitolo. Pic is skedded to start production in late March in Mississippi.

“AnnaSophia and Aimee are both such special young artists,” said Tilden. “I’m thrilled they want to help tell this story.”

Teegarden starred in Disney’s “Prom” and will be next seen in “AWOL,” an indie film based on one Vietnam soldier’s true story. “This is a wonderful teen story about first romances and the passion for sports in rural America,” says Teegarden. “I love that it has such an unexpected, yet emotionally satisfying, ending.”

Robb recently toplined “Soul Surfer” and is currently voicing a lead role in the 3D animal cartoon “Khumba.” Thesp is repped by CAA and Untitled Entertainment.

Teegarden is repped by Innovative Artists and Felker, Toczek, Gellman, Suddleson.
