AnnaSophia Robb on balancing college and acting
September 15th, 2014 || By Lauren Moraski

AnnaSophia Robb recently began her first semester at New York University. As a freshman, she’s unsure about her major right now — she’s still “figuring that out.” But one thing she does know is that so far she loves both college and New York City.

“My education has always been really important to me,” said the 20-year-old actress and star of the films “Bridge to Terabithia,” “Race to “Soul Surfer” and “The Way Way Back.” “It’s something I get really excited about. I love going to class, reading articles. I know I can do that by myself, but there’s something special about a classroom. When you’re in school, you’re around a group of people and you manage to share similar interests….I just like being surrounded by a diverse community…And I fell in love with New York.”

AnnaSophia Robb’s Fashion Week Attire
September 4th, 2014 || By Vanessa Lawrence

The actress wore a brand new piece from Katie Ermilio’s Spring 2015 collection.

Who: AnnaSophia Robb
Where: A Katie Ermilio dinner at Margaux at the Marlton Hotel in New York.
When: Wednesday, September 3rd
What: A French embroidered Chantilly lace bandeau and swing skirt from Katie Ermilio Spring 2015.
Why: It may be (almost) fall, but with NYC temps hovering at sweltering levels, Robb’s choice couldn’t have looked cooler or prettier. No wonder she nabbed it fresh off the runway.

Chat #50StatesForGood With AnnaSophia Robb

Socially conscious actress and advocate AnnaSophia Robb, a 2014 50 States for Good judge, will join Tom’s of Maine on Sept. 4, the Day of Good, at 8:00 p.m. EST for a Twitter party. She will take live questions, share how she finds causes to get involved in and ask others to share inspiring ways they like to give back. Participants should use the hashtag #50StatesforGood to follow along and join the conversation.

“I am thrilled to be a part of the 50 States for Good program, working with Tom’s of Maine to support the amazing grassroots nonprofit work happening around the country,” said program judge AnnaSophia Robb. “I encourage everyone to nominate a local organization – it only takes a few minutes but it can have a major impact on a community or expand a much needed program.”

Over the past five years, Tom’s of Maine has funded 50 States for Good projects that have built playgrounds, supported community gardens, maintained sustainable nature trails, provided shelter and food for the homeless and cared for animals, among many other initiatives.

Following the news of AnnaSophia having booked a new movie, here is now a synopsis of the flick. AnnaSophia’s costars include Scott Cohen, Israel Broussard and Taylor Richardson.

A streetwise teenage runaway is on the lam from her probation officer. Her name is Jacquelyn, but if you call her anything but Jack, she’ll cut you. Needing to lay low, earn money, and gain adequate stability to rescue her 11-year-old sister Coke from foster care, Jack cons her way into a suburban home as live-in helper for their autistic 11-year-old daughter, Glory. Much to her surprise, Jack has a unique ability to connect with the nonverbal little girl. As she positively impacts Glory, the family impacts Jack. Particularly Kay, Glory’s mother. As these two scrappy survivors find an affinity with each other, Kay finds in Jack a daughter she can talk to. When romantic sparks fly between Jack and Robert, Glory’s 17-year-old brother, we see a group of wounded people poignantly and surprisingly begin to heal each other—just a little bit. But the law catches up, the truth comes out, and Jack is forced to make a choice—to save her own hide, or save someone else.
